Bioderma's Micellar Water
As many of you will know, Bioderma is a huge brand in the blogging world. Micelle or micellar water is designed to cleanse your skin and remove make-up (face and eyes) without the need to rinse. Bioderma's Micellar Water is paraben free and hypoallergenic, which is great for sensitive skin. This particular variant is perfect for people with dehydrated skin, which is why I opted for this version over the others.
I've been using this every morning for around 2 - 3 weeks now and have really been enjoying using it. Normally, I shower in the evening as I don't have time in the morning. So when I wake up, I hate getting water near my hair when it's freshly washed and pinning it back just causes it to kink, so Bioderma is ideal to use on a large cotton pad to refresh and cleanse my skin.
Scent wise, Bioderma's Micellar Water smells very fresh and clean and the pop up lid is very convenient; who wants to faff around with a screw top first thing in the morning! It leaves my skin feeling hydrated, super soft and my moisturiser seems to sink in and sits on my skin a lot better after using this Micellar Water.
I haven't put it to the test with regards to removing makeup, as I don't think my skin would feel clean enough using something like this and much prefer to use a 'proper' balm type cleanser with a flannel or face cloth to double cleanse. I've also read a couple of reviews that state that using it morning and night alongside no other cleanser has irritated and disrupted their skin (see Lil Miss Chickas review), so as much as I love it for a quick morning cleanse, I wouldn't want to rely on it for a morning and night cleanse, as I don't think that is its purpose.
Tempted by some of the cheaper dupes from Garnier and L'Oreal, I think I will stick to Bioderma Hydrabio H2O Micelle Solution seeing as it suits my dehydrated, sensitive skin.
A 250ml bottle can be purchased from Escentual for £9.99.
