La Roche-Posay Lipikar Xerand Hand Repair Cream | Escentual | £4.50
Now be aware that these are gruesome photos of my terribly dry hands just so you can compare the difference!
AFTER ONE APPLICATION...
La Roche-Posay Lipikar Xerand Hand Repair Cream is designed for people with severely dry skin, which I would class myself under. It's designed to moisturise and repair skin, providing it with a protective film against further damage.
As you can see from the before photos, I suffer from extremely dry hand which peel around my cuticles and often break open on my fingertips which becomes really sore. I have tried every hand cream going, but it either leaves them really greasy or not hydrated enough. I've been using La Roche-Posay Lipikar Xerand Hand Repair Cream for around two weeks now, although the photos were just taken before and after one use and my hands are in a lot better condition and feel more nourished.
The hand repair cream is a light, lotion type gel formula. It's not heavy nor greasy and it sinks straight into my skin. It has the same unusual, fresh and clean scent as other La Roche Posay products, but this doesn't really linger on your hands.
It still hasn't been a miracle cure for my hands, and I do still need to apply it regularly for it to work and be effective, but within a day of applying it around three times, that split on my index finger has almost completely healed, and it had been like that for over four days prior to applying the cream. I wash my hands regularly, so it's a must that La Roche-Posay Lipikar Xerand Hand Repair Cream is applied straight afterwards to keep them feeling soft.
A 50ml bottle can be purchased from Escentual for £4.50. I picked mine up when they had 25% off which was an added bonus!
